  • B! refusal

    Hi,

Iam canadian PR, applied for B1 visitor visa and refused under 221 (g)

I have got a job offer from US company, it is something like self employed/contract. Iam not an employee of this US company. I will be working from canada(home based job) and this company do not have any subsidiary firms in canada. Every month I have to visit this firm in US for meeting and training.

The visa officer said that as the company is going to pay for all my training and meeting while Iam in US, which is not allowable under B1 visa. She has asked me to submit alternative travel plans to proceed further.

I have no clue how to proceed further. Kindly provide with possible ways to go ahead.

    Thanks
    Nancee

I think the problem is that you cannot 'work' on a B1 Visa. All you can do is attend business meetings and trainings. They need evidence that your activities under this Visa are consistent with the requirements of the Visa. Unfortunately, as you must have already answered questions about 'working' on a B1 Visa, it will be difficult for you to prove that you will in fact not be 'working'.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.

The regrettable thing is that the OP has asked the same exact questions at least three times already . . . I wonder how someone with such poor reading and comprehension skills can have any kind of job . . .
