B1 or B2 visa

Hi...I am a filmmaker from Indian who has been invited by a film festival in the US to screen my film. While the festival is paying for my travel expenses and hospitality, there is no other payment being received. So I am not earning anything by screening my film there. Do I apply for a B1 visa or B2 visa in the application form.

You can apply b1/b2 visa.

visas are stamped as B1/B2 and when you enter US , they stamp your passport with STATUS as either B1 or B2.
So, when you enter US, they will ask you what is your purpose and duration of your visit. and stamp accordingly.
