B1/b2 Visa Extension - Need Advice

I applied for my mother b1 visa extension in the month of Dec 2015, we did receive the receipt from the immigration and they have received her case and is in progress.Her i-94 departure date expired on 20th Jan 2016.I know that a visitor can stay till they hear the decision from the USCIS. My query is that it has been almost 2.5 months and I have not heard anything from them in regards to her visa extension.I have tried contacting uscis service centre but there is no response ,just automated messages.Now I am worried.

Is there a set number of days she can stay on expired i-94 departure date?
Will there be any problem to her while she returns and her next visit to USA?
Did someone have similar issue,what is the best options in such a scenario so that there is no problem to her ?

She can stay beyond I-94 date as an extension petition or some other Change of Status petition has been filed. Later on, after the I-94 date, if the petition to extend is denied, then she is required to immediately leave the country.

She can keep the extension receipt when she travel to USA next time. Most of the time there is no issue but it really depends on the immigration officer at the port of entry.

I am Manjit Singh form Punjab(India) and I have got b1b2 visa June 2015 and I traveled USA in same month and came back within 15 days, now I have applied my wife's visa, and visa officer refused my visa also write CWOP on my valid visa now what I can do for get my visa again and were I can probe my genuineti please help me Thanks

CWOP stands for Cancelled Without Prejudice ...

Seems like they cancelled your visa, because in June 2015 you showed strong ties with your home country - stating your wife will stay here in India, and now you wanted to take her along.

You can reapply for your visa & let your wife stay here in India.
