B1/B2 Visa on Expired passport

    B1/B2 Visa on Expired passport

    I have valid B1/B2 Visa till 2024 on my passport which was going to be expired on 2nd July 2016. So, I reissued a new passport and the previous passport with B1/B2 Visa stamped stands cancelled as of today.

    I have to travel to USA (Minneapolis) via Amsterdam.

    My question is that do I need to reissue a new B1/B2 visa on my new blank passport or can travel to Minneapolis United States with the visa on my cancelled passport(carrying both the passports together for travel).

    Kindly confirm.

    Carry both passports

      Once admitted to USA, they will put a stamp on your "new" passport with a comment "VIOPP".
