Can I apply 30 days prior to date of travel?

Hi,

My company is conducting a conference in Manhattan, New York on 21-06-2016 and I have been recently appointed to visit the US for the same. From your forums I read that one should apply no later than 60 days prior to the date of travel. However, in my case I am already late for the 60 days parameter. I have also not read about the 60 days rule on the US visa guidelines. Can I still apply for my B1 visa this week?

Your advise will be really helpful.

Hi!

You may apply for visa anytime. It's preferable to have more time but we know cases that people have applied 1 week prior to their travel & have gotten the visa too.

Please have all documentation in order & goodluck.

Regarging VISA apply

You can apply visa at any time. But for more clarity you can take the advice from HC also.
