B2 to B1 conversion URGENT

Hi Guys

I have applied for B2 and got B1/B2 visa for 10 years in April 2016,

Went to the USA got B2 stamped on the arrival, Valid until Jan 9, 2017, duration of stay ( July to September) 40 Days.

Now I want to travel again in October on B1 visa

What should I do?

Can I just enter the USA and at the port of entry I can explain?

Do I need to apply for I-539?

You can travel with the same visa. Just don't overstay.
