Valid B1 visa in Expired Passport:

Hello Friends,

(This is a repeat thread, that I posted in Visitor visa section but did not get any response from the experts in this Forum. Please help ASAP.)

I renewed my passport in 2012. Before that, in the old passport, I got B1/B2 visa that is still valid. I used that visa to travel to USA before August 2012. In Aug 2012, I got L1B visa stamped in my current passport. Also I have old passport and new passport pinned and used to take them whenever I go abroad, which means valid B1/B2 visa in expired passport, and expired L1B in current passport.

Now I have to travel to USA for attending a conference. This is not at all connected to my profession. This is a competition. I wanted to know if I have to take a new B1 visa to travel or the old visa will be good enough to allow me in.

Please advise.

Valid visa in expired passport is still valid. Carry both the passports and hand both to the POE officer with visa page opened in old passport.
