Applying for Visa, to open a bank account in NY (Company incorporated in NY)

Hi Folks
A big thank you to each n everyone for posting your experiences.
A special thanks to immihelp.
My question is...
I m applying visa (Mumbai)for the 1st time.
We have powerlooms in Maharashtra.(Pvt. Ltd. Company)
We are expanding our business overseas in Thailand & United States.
I have incorporated a company in New York.
I want to visit United States to open a bank account in Newyork and apply for ITIN number.
As per "Patriotic Law", to open a bank account a person should be physically present in bank.
I have Thailand visa on my passport..
What are the chances of approval??
Any suggestions on documentation for visa.

In general, foreigners do not have to be physically present to open bank accounts in the United States. Specific banks may have more restrictive procedures, but I'm sure you can find an institution willing to take images of your identifying documents over the internet. You're applying for a B1 visa, so homeland ties and trip purpose are key factors in visa issuance

Thanks for replying.
The rules have been changed after 9/11 attack.
As per Patriotic law you need to be physically present in bank to open a bank account.
or you need to be present in your business office address where bank officials can visit.

Me: We are into textile manufacturing & Import-Export, we are in the verge of overseas expansion.To do a business in US you need a company incorporated & a bank account, though i have already incorporated a company in New york..now i need to open a bank account and apply for a ITIN number.

Vo: i am sorry, at this moment you are not eligible for USA visa, you may try next time.Thank you

She didn't asked me for any documents other than passport.
Any suggestions guys..what went wrong..
when can i apply next time??
