B1 Visa - A Pole trying to get Visa in UK.

Hi,

I have a very specific question about U.S. Embassy & Consulates in the United Kingdom.

I'm from Poland and have been living in the United Kingdom for the past 10 years. I am also a resident. My question is, do I have to go back to Poland in order to apply for the visa or can I just set up an appointment here in U.S. Embassy & Consulates in the United Kingdom? I will be only entering U.S for no longer than 7 days to attend an event.

Possibly need the answer today or the latest tomorrow.

In general, visa applicants can obtain service from the US consulate in the country that they reside. I'm not sure what evidence a EU national would present as evidence that they reside in any particular EU member country, since there is no paper trail. Maybe they won't even ask
