  • B1/B2 Visa: Approved, Interviewed on: 4th Jan: 2019

Tips: Be confident, Answer correctly and accurately, carry an invitation letter with a mentioned agenda

Interviewer: Good Morning Maam, May I have your passport please?
Me: Good Morning sir, here it is (Handing over my passport)

Interviewer: Maam, what is the purpose of your visit to the US?
Me: I have been invited to participate in a business meeting and a 4 day training program being conducted by my org in the US
(Elaborate the org name and team name)

Interviewer: So you work with "this org"?
    Me: Yes
(Alternatively, you could be asked about the company name and what does the company do)

Interviewer: Maam, what is your role?
Me: Told the role as mentioned in my DS-160 form

Interviewer: How long will you be in the US?
    Me: 2 Weeks

Interviewer: Maam, do you have an invitation letter?
Me: Yes Sir, would you like to see it?

    Interviewer: Yes Maam
Me: (Handed over the invitation letter)

Interviewer: Checking the invitation letter specifically the agenda part

Interviewer: No issues maam, your visa is approved, you will receive a message in 2-3 days
    Ma: Thank You sir

(My interviewer was a trainer who was training the new interviewers as to how to interview. After asking questions with me, he was explaining it to them, where I could realise that my invitation letter was an accurate one)

Suggestion: The interviewer could ask a lot of questions, type a lot while you answer or train the new interviewers (as in my case). Be patient and dont get nervous. Answer confidently.
