B1 Visa Rejected - 15 Feb 2019
I just dont know why I got rejected. Frustrating, thinking if I have to apply again!
Please see the experience below:
Entry - was available at the premises by 9.15 and people were stacked by time slots & entry was smooth
Security - cleared without much fuzz as I didn't take any mobile or wallet
Interview-
Awaited in line maintaining a calm demeanour, the person prior was a sales guy and he was quizzed if he had anything to do with software development, once he assured that his previous visits was also with respect to sales and expo related activity, he was granted VISA.
Visa Officer(Male) motioned to move into the counter, entered the counter
a) VO: Greeted Good Morning,
Me: Greeted him back, 'Good Morning'
VO: Passport Please, - (handed him the passport)
b) VO: Which company you work for ?
Me: I work for SrinSoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
c) VO: Why are you travelling?
Me: I am an AS400 expert & my company wanted to send me to US for having a business meeting with Xpress Global Systems based out of Chattanooga.
d) VO: What is your annual package?
Me: Answered him the package as per DS160
e) VO: Is anyone else travelling with you ?
Me: No, I am the only one travelling
f) VO: How long is the duration of stay?
Me: The intended period of stay is for 3 weeks
g)VO: What is your role in your company?
Me: I work as a Project Lead
h) VO: What is this travel for ?
Me: I have a business meeting with the client
i) VO: What exactly is the meeting for?
Me: I will need to meet with the users at the Warehouse to understand their requirements, and processes for simplifying.
j) VO: Sorry sir, your application for visa is rejected as per US Law 214b. Thank you.
Me: Thank you (received the 214b form and moved towards exit)
No other document was requested by the VO.
