Blanket L rejected, appearing for B1 Visa Plese help

Hi

i can say, i must be a jinx. just listen my story.
Firt i got rejected for Blanket L in delhi in May 2005,
reson:: Spealized knowledge not apparent, need to for individual L
Later we filed Individual L pettion in june 2006. again it is also got disapproved.

finally we are trying for B1 visa. I afraid whether will i get it? Please help me!!!

My questions is

1) will they ask about Blanet L and Individual L visa rejection in interview. if so what should i say
2) Do i need Client Invitation letter
3) Some sample questions normally asked in B visa interview.
4) what is difference between normal B visa and BEP
5) what important things to remember before going to interview.

i have 1.8 years of exp.

I'm afraid that its unlikely that you'll get a B Visa,,,,,,,,,,,,unfortunately, you have already expressed a clear intent to live and work in the US on a long term basis. If for example you already had a B visa when you applied for and received a denial for the L, it would have been cancelled. I'm sorry. Why dont you wait an dthen reapply for the L when you ahve overcome that obstacle

This is the first time iam appearing for B1 VISA. Indvidiaul L petion got disapproved on end of May 2006. we are trying to make an appintment in Chennai at the end of august. Due to some document mismatch they denied the Individual Pettion. Our project is nearing the testing stage. So i need to go atleast at the end of august. If i missed this oppurtunity i have to wait for atleast another year. Please suggest me what can i do.

I am going for visa interview under BEP progam. i heared under BEP rejection rate is somewhat low. Appoint date yet to be scheduled shall i fix it in chennai or delhi(coz previous Blanket L rejected in delhi). Please help.

Hi sorry for the next post.

Will they (consulate) keep a track of Individual L pettion. because i didn't attend the interview. we just filled the pettion and it got rejected. will they ask abt the petition in B visa.

While the blanket denial might escape them, because you applied for an individual L, you were fingerprinted , no?..........so it doesnt matter what Consulate you go to, the record will be there....plus doesn't your passport has the stamp in the back? ...and I'm not sure but doesnt the form asks whether you have ever been denied ?....of course you will never know until you go and apply so I cant say dont go........you have nothing to lose by trying but just bear in mind that the odds are stacked against you.

...Sorry.....I just read that you didnt appear for the interview for the individual............are you sure it was an individual petition?........I'm not sure why then you wouldnt have attended the interview.............but you just might be bale to pull it off since you werent fingerprinted.Good luck.

Yes it was an individual petition. but the petition itself got denied by USCIS, Nebraska. So i didnot attend the interview for Individual L. so there is no fingerprint, not stamping on passport for Individual L.

but when i went for blanket L (may 2005) they got my fingerprint also stamped like "Application Received on MAY 20 2005" in back of Passport and gave "221g" with the comments "Apply for Individual L, Specialized knowledge not Apparent"

Even when we file the Individual Petition they asked about the previous Visa denial. I mentioned the Blanket L, and Given the copy of 221g letter with the pettion.

In B visa also they asked abt Visa denial but i Specified only Blanket L rejection. Since Individual L is Petition rejection not acutually a Visa rejection.

Suppose if they ask in B visa interview why ur L visa got rejected? what can i say?. shall i say "I didn't bring my certificates/produce my certificates to prove my specialized knowledge."

Yes that will be a good response. to say you didnt bring the certificates .........I hate to be negative but prepare yourself for the reality that a B visa is unlikely. Again, Good luck. Keep us posted

Its a bad idea to state something that never happened. Any visa officer will know all your previous transactions the moment they enter your PP# on their system. Better stick to the truth. For successful stamping of the B1, you only need to reassert your non-immigrant intent. You can probbly say that another resource has already been sent to US for the work that you were supposed to have done had you gone on the L1 visa. The rejection of your petition for Individual L1 will not really play a big role here as you are only trying to go on B1 with the intention not to work in the US.

I attented the interview @ 8 aug 9.45hrs in chennai consulate.

I just want to share my experience,

Consular asked me the following questions.

Before that he verified all the documents asked me

Consular: Did ur visa get rejected in newdelhi?
I: Yes
Consular: Lets forget it, Lets start new process
I:Thanks
Consular: How long you have been with this company?
I: 1 year and 10 months
Consular: How many weeks u r going to stay?
I: 6 weeks
Consular: What is the purpose?
I: said the purpose with full of confidence
Consular: Please pay the fees to counter no. X
I: Thanks, Thank you very much sir,

Congratulations! I didnt think that you would get a B visa especially so soon after the L denial but I guess they are as unpredictable as the weather. I'm glad for you that you did.

I was issued 221(g) – blue form on 1st March 2007 for L1 Individual

You see I am facing a problem right now for my US L1 Visa

1) My L1 blanket got refused under 221(g) on September 12th 2006

2) I was issued 221(g) – blue form on 1st March 2007 for L1 Individual

The VO ( Visa Officer) check the below given statement in the 221(g) form

“The petition is being returned to USCIS for further review. Upon completion of the review, USCIS will contact your petitioner. Please wait for a notification from the consulate before returning”

US Visa details

Last year on Aug-08 i have applied for work permit, Classification sought: L1B Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NONIMMIGRANT WORKER. after pending for few days, i got update showing Application Type: I129, PETITION FOR A NON IMMIGRANT WORKER Current Status: Denial Notice

I don't know the exact reason, now i want to apply for Business visa. is there any time frame that after reject of application i cannot apply with in 6months or 1 year?
