I Am invited to attend a conference. I applied for B1 visa . my brother works in us. Will it affect my chances of visa if i show the same in ds-156 form? please help.

There is nothing wrong in showing in DS 156 about your brother staying in the US. You are going to US to attend the seminar upon invitation send by the US committie or whoever maybe the authority. It will not affect issuing a visa by showing your brother status in the US. You have to take all the relavant documents to the US consulate at the time your Interview.
