B1- Scenario

Hi,
I have applied for a Business VISA and here is the scenario under which I have applied:

1. I work for a startup based in Malaysia
2. The company has recently setup its operations in India(8 months) and not know here.
3. I have to travel to the US to attend a training for a week.

Since the company is new in India, we don't have a lot of financial papers(tax returns and all). So just wanted to know the chances of getting a VISA.

I have procured the suggested documents:

Client invitation and sponsorship letter.
Company Bank statements and other documents.
Personal Bank statements.

I would appreciate and help/tip/feedback in this regard.

There is really no way to accurately predict the chances.

If everything is legitimate, you should not have any problems in getting visa.

If you can't produce enough documents from Indian branch of the company, try to produce some of the documents from Malaysia.

Got a B1 VISA

Hi everyone,

Thanks for all the help. This website really helped a lot in gathering relevant information which eventually helped me to procure a B1 VISA.

Here are a couple of points I'd like to make to all those applying for the same:

- The interview is what matters the most.
- Carry only those documents which are genuine.
- Be sure of the purpose of visit(that it is for a genuine Business need.)
- Be confident and DON'T carry any false pre-assumptions about the people in the consulate. They are straightforward and genuine people and appreciate the same in others.

Do post in case of any queries. I'll be glad to respond if I have some pointers.
