  • B1 I-94

    Hello friends,
My friend came for the second time on B1/B2 visa and at the port of entry Officer stamped on passport and I-94 for three months. Than my friend requested for 6 months stay. The officer agreed for 6 months but put the newdate for 6 months on previously put 3 months date both on i-94 and Passport.
Is this the problem as new date clearly appear on previous date???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?

I am not sure I understand what you said? did the officer re-stamp the passport and i-94 or he just corrected the original stamp (by scribbling over it)?

For as long as you can see the new date, you are fine.

If I get married to my friend that means there is no problem as long as date is apparent

There is a big problem if you entered on a B1 visa with intentions to marry and get a GC. It is called fraud

How can you presume my Friend came with this intention. I am sorry I dont appreciate this answer.Infact if it was the intention we could have done by other ways like fiancee visa why to fraud.
                  The answer was pathetic

I did not assume anything. I said IF.

You must have all bases covered, and I do not understand why you keep calling this person "friend" if you plan on marrying... but either way, the burden of proof that your friend did not misrepresent at the port of entry is on the two of you.
