    B1 Visa to H1B visa question

    I was working on H1B visa.I recently lost my job then I immediately applied for change of status from H1B visa to B1 Visa with USCIS. And the case is still pending. If I get selected for another job in the mean time can my employer apply for H1B with the USCIS while my change of status is still pending ?
    Please let me know.
