I'm working as a consultant for a company in the US since past 1.5 yrs now. The company has invited me to come to the HQ for training purposes.

Now to give you a brief background, I've been in the US from August 2001 through October 2006. Initially I was on an F1 visa and did my masters and then transferred to a H1-b visa when I started working. At the end of the 1st H1-b I asked the same company to offer me a contractor/consultant role in india (as we did not have a branch office in india) and they agreed. So I came back and have been working since for the same company.

So now my question is -- I have the invite letter from the company, as well as my contract with the company. Are the above 2 docs sufficient or do I need additional documents from the company in US. Also at some place in the visa form it asks to name the employer ? since I am a contractor who should I mention as my employer? since technically the company in US is my client.

Also which other documents in general should I take in such a case?

US B2 Visa Cancel Reason :SPM --

    Hi,

I am in the need of your valuable suggestion pertaining to my B2 visa cancel at POE. THis visa(valid for 10 Yrs) received in Australia on Aug-1999, went to US in Oct-99 came back exactly before expiry of 6 months.

Second time went to NY on July-2003 and returned after 10 days.

Third time went to Minnesotta on May-2004, at the POE officer not satisfied with my answer and sent me back to India. Because I was carrying all doc's including my birth, education and work experience and more over Marriage cert too. They suspected that my intention to stay longer !!!

In the current scenario, my employer wants me to send to US for longterm project. Does my past history create trouble in receiving a new visa OTHERTHAN B1/ B2.

Can some one share your valuable knowledge / experience.

    Thanks a ton in advance.

      Curious

How did the POE Officer know about your other certificates? Did you show it to him?
