Visa Type- B1(business) or J1?

I am a doctor (Oncologist). I got UICC fellowship for observer training for a period of one month at Univ of Michigan starting june/july this year. This training will not involve work of any kind and will b unpaid by the university. My visa interview appt scheduled on 14th April (for B1 visa). But I have DS2019 issued by the university also.
Is B1 the right visa type?
