My b1/b2 was cancelled

good to everyone i did have a b1/b2 visa i went to renew it,n the consular stampted cancelled without prejudice,i dont know y,it was a one year visa i only spend a month i went to renew it in dec 08 but it was expired in jan09,so i dont know if that is the reason y,i write to the embassy n the respond was u can apply again,so i am planning n going in june again is that too soon,but the man did not tell why so i dont know y can u help if u can please tell what to do.thank u
