I went to the US Consulate for my B1 Visa interview in Mumbai . I was handed a yellow pending letter by the consulate officer and asked to email the following documents.
a) Technical Questionnaire.
b) DS-157 form.
c) CV.
d) Invitation letter from US.
I emailed the above related documents to [email protected] after that.
Last week I received an email from the US Consulate to visit the VFS office with my passport, yellow pending letter and yellow envelope. After that I visited the VFS office and also paid a fees of Rs. 180 /-.
Today I received my passport and the yellow pending letter once again in the same yellow envelope couriered at my home address without the stamped visa. But this time there was nothing checked on the yellow 221g pending form for submitting any more documents. It only had a "Application Received on 28th October 2009" stamp on it.
Has anyone encountered this situation before and what has to be done now?
