B1/B2 passport damaged

I visited USA in 2007 on B1 and when I was there my passport got drenched and hence damaged. I had no problems coming back to India with the damaged passport. I got my passport renewed last year which states my prevoius passport is cancelled. Now, I have to travel to USA early next year for a month, I am wondering if I carry my old passport along with the new one. Would that take care of the airport formalities or shall I ask my company to get a new Visa stamped. Please advise.

personally, I would do the latter.
