Hi,
My friend from India has secured an unpaid internship at united Nations for a period of 2 months begining May 17.
In the offer letter it has been mentioned that the most suitable Visa category under which she can enter USA would be B1.
Kindly let me know if she can apply under any other category?
Another problem that she is facing is that she is not having any appointment slots available at the Mumbai consulate for the B1 visa. She has been checking the link in the website regularly but with no success. When I called up the customer service at the consulate I got a reply saying that they keep updating about new slots, though they are very minimum in number. Can anyone help me in this regard.
