B1 or B2 for internship interview?

Hi

I am a Canadian student in a Canadian University and I am going to the US for a one day trip to attend an interview at a US university for a research internship position.

Is it considered business or personal ? That's not traveling for pleasure and it is not really a business travel.

I am not sure. Please advise. What should I check in my declaration form ?

Searching a job on B1 is not allowed. But for Canadian citizen, I guess you can mention that you already found a available position & have cleared first round of interview & now need to visit USA for the final round face-to-face.

You should apply for B1 visa only.
