Business (B1) Visa- is it valid for ten years?

Hello everyone,

I am from Hong Kong so I need a visa to enter the USA.

I recently have an invitation to attend a congress in the USA so I should go for the Business (B1) Visa.

My question is how long will this visa be valid for? The reason I haven't been to the USA yet is because I have been waiting for this kind of opportunities to come along so I could apply for a US visa in a professional capacity. I am a self-employed single woman so I know the chances of successfully applying for a tourist visa are low.

Will this B1 visa be valid just for the duration of my business visit?

Very much depends on your personal case. It could be for just 6 months, 1yr, 5yr, 10yr.
The goal is to prove that you are a successful business person, will return to your country
