Questions for parents applying for b1b2 visa from India

Context:

• Parents applying for visa and have not been to any country before
• Entered incorrect details in DS160 regarding the start and end date for my father in the last section (as he is a retired defence personal) when compared to start and end dates in the work section https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/ .

I'm obviously freaking out because I want my parents to come here without any visa issues. Thanks in advance for your help !

Question:

• Should we create a new DS160 for this error just to be safe?
• I've heard that in the new portal there's no place to update DS160, so we have to do that during biometrics appointment/ VAC. Is my understanding correct? But this will still not update their DS160 in the appointment confirmation page
• what types of recent questions should I prepare them for? Both of them are retired and have a house in India (Appointment is in Chennai consultanc.
