VISA Transfer to new Passport?

I had lost my passport with a valid US Visa and applied for a new Passport. Later, I found my initial passport with the US Visa. Can the existing Visa be transferred to my new Passport?

Unfortunately no. A valid US visa cannot be transferred from your old passport to your new passport.

A valid US visa in an expired passport can be used in conjunction with a valid passport of the same type from the same country, without needing to get a visa on the new passport. However, I am not sure whether it applies to a case where the old passport was not expired but was rather reported lost and then found.
