Hello, this is my story:
Last year I did a 1 year internship with a J-1 visa in the company A. Through this company, which was of business consulting, I met the company B which is from Central America and doesn't have any branch in the US.
When I finished the internship in the company A, the company B proposed me to participate in a project, my role consisted of doing a market research in the US which would take up to 12 months. I would participate in the project as a shareholder, so nobody pays me.
I applied for a B1, I got it without any problem and entered once. This week when I entered again in the US the CBP officer was convinced that I was still working for the company A, which isn't true. He was really aggressive and almost send me back home. I was lucky to have a return flight in one month, so he stamped me the I-94 with that date. He told me to leave the country in that date or I will never come back, and said that next time I will try to enter I will be denied my entry. He did not cancel my visa, but I'm afraid of what he wrote in the i-94.
I admit I have some of fault because I had being like 40 hours without sleeping (christmas+friends+flight...) and my answers weren't very solid, but I showed the documentation which always was enough by itself. Also he was really hard with me.
Will I have any problem in the future re-entering/applying for any visa? Could I clarify the situation going to any local USCIS office? Any advice?
Thank you very much.
