want name change even my visa is still under consulate admin process
Hi,
I applied for B1 visa almost 3 months back. It stuck in admin process.
What I am thinking is that it is becaouse my and my father's surname issue.
my name: amit kumar. (No surname)Father's name: balmukund. (No surname)
mother's name: Kastury soni (SONI is actually our surname,i am using with my mom's name)I kept my name in passport like that bcoz all my credentials are having same name.( It was a big mistake that I did by not writting my and my daid's surname anywhere.)
Now i am thinking to add my surname in my passport so that next time I should not get issues again in future.
My question is: Can I apply for name change in my pasport eventhough my visa is undergone to US consulate office ?
Please suggest me what to do? I allready lost two onsite opportunity due to delay?
