Extending Business visit for short holiday with relative

I will be on a business trip for a month to Chicago. Meanwhile my wife is also traveling to Boston for one week for her office work.

Can she complete her office work and stay with me in Chicago for a week. Problem is her invite letter stats that her visit is for a week.

Please let me know how can she extend her trip for a week for vacation.

As long as she is within her allowed stay duration on I-94, that is fine.
