want to apply for B1 visa but got blue slip for H1 stamping last year

Hi,

Last year i came to india in january 2011 and got blue slip in H1 visa stamping. Then i never went back with required document to mumbai consulate and i am working in india now.

Now my current compay want to apply B1 visa for me. So i am not sure that do i need to cancel my pending visa appointment with mumbai consulate?

Consulate not yet rejected my visa yet.

So can i apply for B1 visa?
Do i need to cancel my H1 pending appointment?

You don't need to do anything for that one year old appointment.

Apply for the B1 in routine and at the interview be ready to explain why you gave up the last H1 visa
appointment.

Also have one more question that i have h1 approval till May-2013. That also nothing to do with this right? It iwill not affect my B1 visa.

It will not. You just tell them you left the original H-1 company and are working for another company
in India.
