Applying for B1 after B2 rejection 4 years ago

Hi,

I am going to be applying for. a B1 business visa soon. My company wants to send me for training.
The problem is that I had a rejection for B2 tourist visa around 4.5 years ago.

Im really scared I'll get another rejection. Can someone please help. What are my chances?

Can you post the situation last time you were denied?( reason for visit, reason for denial etc)

They will look at your current application in the light of your current situation as so much time has passed.

They will focus on;
1. How long have you been with the company?
2. Is the company doing well?
3. The details of your work duties and EXACTLY what you will be doing in US.
4. Your income in India.
5. Asking for a long duration more than 2 weeks , usually they suspect
you won't be misusing the B1 visa for work in US with your company.
So initially go for a short stay of 1-2 weeks and use a different term than training.
Talk to someone in your company who has been to US on a B1.

I got rejected under the 214b. I live in London, England.
I was a student back then, and didnt think before applying.

Now im on the highly skilled uk visa, and my company wants to send me.

the company is good, with many offices in US and want to send me for training ive been with the company for.

im originaly a pakistani passport holder.

Recently several indian companies have misused b1/b2 visa for sending their employees
to work , while no work is allowed under this visa.
So anybody saying "training ' for several weeks , they may get suspicious.
Also, there are some posts who have been turned back at US entry while mentioning
'training" under B1.

Since your company is ok, talk to someone who has got and traveled on a business visa
from UK . About what the current trends about B1 visa are at the UK embassy.
