Vacation to India during Citizenship process

Need help please -
Our details - GC received on Aug 15th 2008 for wife and I (thru me employment GC). Went to India once in the past four years for vacation. 4 weeks in total.
My brother-in-laws marriage is going to be in June.

Here is the situation-
If I apply for citizenship on May 22nd this year for both, and my wife visits India in June, what will happen to her case. Shall I apply for both in May let her go for vacation and postpone any steps? Or shall I wait for her to comeback and apply separately? How does it all work, what all the things that she will be missing, the pros and cons. Could you please help?

You can apply together. Once she receives her fingerprinting notice, she has a few weeks to go to it. You can always ask for stuff to be postponed for her. If shell be gone a while, she might as well wait to apply. There are no cons.
