I am looking for some information regarding " Change of LAST Name for the Minor Child". Here is my situation,
Recently I received my naturalization citizen ship, And I had option to change the name, But I did not change the name. But now my daughter is going to be 16 in six months, I would like to apply for her naturalization ( N 600 ), But she did not want to have the last name what I have, she wanted the last name as my middle name, because that last name really sounds( meaning ) weird. I am ok with her request to change her last name.
Please can someone help me here to give me the best solutions ( process and etc. ). I would like to finish this process before her citizen ship certificate and before her high school finishes, she wanted her new last name ( my middle name ) on her school certificates, passport , and citizenship certificate.
She born in India and having Green Card and living with us ( both parents ). My wife is Indian citizen and having GC and her last name is also same as mine.
