  • Questions About N 400. Please help.

Hello, I am ready to file N 400 and have a few questions. First, let me tell you briefly about my situation. I have been married to the same US citizen for the past 3 years. We are both CA residents and we lived together for the first 2 years in CA (my permanent address in all documents) but last year I went back to school in another state (MA, my mailing address) and she hasn't been able to find a suitable job to allow her to move with me so she comes to visit whenever we can afford it and I come back every break.

    1) Am I eligible to file N 400? The application said "...have been married to and living with the same U.S. citizen for the last three years..." Technically, I guess we haven't lived together for the whole 3 years but we have been together.

    2) Which one is my home address and and which is my mailing address? I list my address in CA for all documents like bank account, school, tax etc. The instructions said "give the address where you now live" which means my MA address but since I am only going to school here it changes every year.

    3) Where should I file my application in this case? I believe I am still considered CA resident but I could be wrong.

    4) In all USCIS application I have put my middle name as Bao but on my green card it only says B. In part 1B it said to put my name exactly as appeared on the green card which is B but the box itself said "full middle name." What should I put?

    Thank you for your help.

Edit: Also if anyone knows of an organization that provides free advice in immigration matter such as this please let me know.
