What is the process of a green card holder to leave the U.S.?
Ok, so my grandma has been in the US for a few years. She will be getting her citizenship in about 1.5 years. She wants to move back to Sweden, where she has a citizenship. (She has a place to live until she can get her own apartment, which she will be able to take care of) She has no income. What do I need to do to clear everything up? Here is a list of what I would need to clear up:
Apartment
Green Card
Citizenship Pending (the wait for her citizenship)
Food Stamp
I.D. address
Immigration information (I dont know much of what this is but immigration has her current address)
Health Insurance
That is all I can think of. Now, preferably, we would like to keep these all intact as there's a chance she will be returning in maybe ~5 years. If anyone can shed some light on this it would GREATLY be appreciated. If you require any additional information please ask me and I will reply as quickly as I can.
If someone could also shed some light on the US Dual-Citizenship policy, I'm not 100% sure that they allow it with Sweden, but can she leave for some years and return again only 1.5 years away from a citizen ship? Right now she does not want to wait for her citizenship to leave, she wants to leave in the next 2 months.
Thanks so much,
Brandon
