n-400 interview without A-File

Hi!

I had an interview last week and passed the test.
Officer told me that she cannot make a decision yet since she has not received my A-File yet.
I was also told that there is nothing wrong and i would receive the oath letter as soon as she receives the file.

As fas as i know, the A-file should be ordered automatically when they received my N-400 application which was 6 months ago from now.
I am little frustrated because they could not locate my file for last 6 months for some reason and how they could do so from now for next few weeks as officer told me.

anybody had similar experience?
anyone know how long it would take ?

any response would be very appreciated.

CIS would not be doing their job if they don't frustrate you. It happens often that the A file hasn't been found. Hopefully it will be before 120 days have passed. If not, you can threaten to sue them under 1447(b).
