Hi, wonder if anyone can help?
I entered the USA in 2006 married to an American Born USA Citizen (Married in 2005 in the USA )and started proceedings for Greencard - I got my Work Permit in 2006 -we got divorced in 2008 (after being married for more than 4 years) before the process was complete or before I received my greencard due to the backlog at the time. I was advised to restart the process again for a Greencard which i did I in 2008, I remarried April 2009 in Alaska to an American Citizen(by birth) and received my Greencard 25 May of 2010. ( 3 Years and 7 months this month )
I have lived and worked in the USA permanently since 2006(going on 7 Years) have never left the USA for more than a month in any given year. We got divorced end of February of this year (3yrs and 10months marriage) -just before our son - born in Alaska and USA Citizen -turned 4) We have owned a family home in Alaska since 2009. I am a educated professional with an good career at an International Company and have been gainfully employed fulltime since 2006. We have Joint Custody. I am supporting my child. (and ex-wife who has been unemployable for the past 2 years due to severe depression)
I have rendered taxreturns since 2006. I have no Criminal record and make proactive contributions to my community.
What if any of the above has rellevance or would be concidered in the duration needed for naturalization in my instance. Or can I expect to wait till 4years and 9 months run out in Feb of 2015.
Any input or advice will be deeply appreciated....
