  • US citizen parent, Indian citizen child

    Hi,

My wife and I recently got our US citizenship through naturalization. Our daughter is 11 years old and living with us. She has a GC, and she automatically qualifies for US citizenship. One of the documents needed for her passport, when I started applying for one for her, is my wife and my marriage certificate. We don't have that document. We faced issues earlier in our GC process due to this and somehow got by with affidavits and other proofs and thought we were done with that. However, now I'm thinking that we can get our marriage certificate from India when we go there next and then come back and apply for my daughter's passport/naturalization certificate. Question is, can she still travel on her Indian passport and US GC when she goes to India and back? Will there be any problems when she tries to enter US on those documents?

    Thanks in advance

    Rohit
