Greetings,
I*got my US naturalization citizenship certificate thru form N-400 and changed my long last name from the green card and eliminated the middle name which represents father name back home.
My*minor son "14 years" is applying for us citizenship certificate thru form N-600 as being a US citizen.* His last name on the green card is different than mine; because, back home they use three level name identification structure as; person, father, grandfather names.* Therefore, his*middle name*is my name and his last name is my father's name.*
Any how, I am completing the N-600 form and using the section where it asks for legal name and stating as his first name as it is and my last name only without middle name.**I am sending all*required documentations including*copy of my US citizenship certificate and the accompanying court order for*my name change.
Would they accept the*name change and issue my*son a*US citizenship certificate showing his first name and my last name only as requested?
Thanks...*
