Do I need N600 to apply for US Passport?

I'm qualified for N600. According to USCIS I automatically became a US Citizen when my both my parents Naturalized when I was under the age of 18. I was born in 1982, Parents Naturalized in 1990. Although I don't have the N600 proof of citizenship document for myself currently.
My question is, do I need Proof of US Citizenship, in order to get a US Passport?
What are all the necessary documents do I need in order to get a US Passport?

Approval of your U.S. passport application will depend on the derivative citizenship regulations in effect when your parents naturalized. You will need to have THE ORIGINAL NATURALIZATION CERT OF ONE PARENT (mother's is best) and proof that you were resident in the U.S. when the parent naturalized.

This may not be a "slam dunk," as you can be denied the passport approval, but USCIS might still consider you a citizen. The passport application process goes through some regulation-checking searches by the Passport agency, and their interpretation of the regulations in effect in 1990 and your evidence might be too challenging for them.

The N-600 is not "proof of citizenship," but is an application for a Citizenship certificate for derived citizenship.
