Ray B, I would just like to ask why the "previous work/training/education" section didn't appear in my ds-260 form and also it didn't ask the contact number of my present supervisor. In the ds-260 of my husband, those sections appeared. He was asked about his previous work/ training/education. Is there something wrong with mine? But I already signed and submitted it. So I can't change it anymore. Will it affect the approval of my visa? I am the principal applicant, by the way.

Without looking at your DS-260 I can't give you a good answer. My guess, however, is that you declined to show "previous work/training" beyond your "current work/training."

Do an attachment to carry to your interview, adding the additional information, and show it during the interview.

        Hello Ray,

well quick review - I changed the agent (my dad in my country) to my mother in law (in US) and we were still waiting for the possibility to pay the immigrant visa fee because it just wasn't possible online. Today my dad (former agent), me and my mother in law (current agent) got an email from NVC with the immigrant visa fee invoice. So I went to the NVC website to see if we can pay but it's still not possible. What should we do? Wait few more days or send it by mail? And how come my dad got the email too if he is not the agent anymore? Does it matter? Thank you so much. Take care.

You should be able to pay it in two days or so, online. Don't mail it.

So long as mother-in-law is getting correspondence from NVC, doesn't matter if dad also gets it.

As far as I remember, after I finished filling out the "current work/training/education" section, I clicked the next button and it lead me immediately to the "additional information" section. Which was strange because I didn't do anything else to have my "previous work/training/education" be declined. Is it possible to decline to show a section in the ds-260 form? I wonder what's wrong? Anyway, thanks for answering my questions. I'll do what you told me then. I'll bring an attachment and show it during the interview. Hoping for the best.

I also attached photos for you to see, in .jpg and .jpeg.

                Hello Ray,

so it's all paid, thank you again for your quick answers, it helped a lot! I'm about to start filling the visa application, I went through the sample to see what to expect. There are few things I would like to ask about. First there is section "training/education...", am I supposed to write there all my and my husband's jobs I went through and all my schools? I didn't finish university but I don't know if I should write it there too. There is one question about the medical/health jobs, I have studied physical therapy, I didn't finish it but I would like to start working at the medical branch but I intend to get the education in US. Am I supposed to write it all over there? Because there are two similar questions like: "Are you a health care worker seeking to perform such work in US but have not yet received certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization?"
Thank you so much for your response!

                  Hello,

well I was just filling the application too and I have only the sections "present work and additional" there too. No previous. But when you go through the sample in this section (previous work/...) there is said that this will display only to applicants who meet one of the following criteria:

                  1) the applicant is male and age is between 14 and 60
                  2) the applicant is over the age 14 and is from Bruma, China, Cuba, India, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria or Stateless
                  3) the applicant is retired, not employed or homemaker
                  4) the applicant is principal applicant and is applying for any of the following visa classes: E11,E12,E13,E21,E31,E32,EW3,SD1,SR1,SE1,C51,T51,SI1,SQ1, SF1, SG1, SH1, SJ1, SK1, SN1, R51, and I51, DV-1.

                  Have a good day.

ds 260 and affidavit of support difficulty..

                    hello everyone,
I have filled agent form a week ago and I had payed AOS fees on 27th june 2014. My priority date is aug 2002 and category is f4.
Having filled agent form and now a week has passed and payment window has not opened still for ds 261. How much
time will it take normally? Further can we send AOS before the payment of ds 261? I am confused please help me

                    • The DS-261 is the "agent form." I think you are asking about the DS-260, which is the visa application form. The payment bill for that should arrive anytime.

                      • advice on IV processing fee

Hi rayB. i received correspondence from nvc end of november to complete 6 steps in order to pre-process the spouse immigration visa i have applied for. well, i paid the AOS fee almost a month ago, but still have not received an invoice for the IV processing fee. i have not received any email replies or correspondence from nvc over the last month either. what should i do? i have collected the AOS and supporting documents, but want to send them together to the nvc in one package but of course i cannot do that until the IV processing fee has been paid, right?

                        thanks for any insight.

thank you so much for your help RAY B. Yes you are correct I am asking for ds 260. After 10 days still payment has not invoiced. Is there a problem from there or from my end?

                          • It's an NVC problem, seemingly affecting anyone with a package at the NVC of late.
