    Hello,

I waited for 2 months to get an invoice of $325 for IV fee. Form DS260 was opened a couple of days after paying the IV fee. Be patient and good luck!

      • You'll have to wait a while longer before the DS-260 can be accessed and completed, after you pay the second fee, $325.

          • You can't pay the $325 fee until you receive the invoice. You can then pay it online or by mail.

              • DS-260 Query

                Hi,

I have following query for DS_260 form:

I applied from Green Card in EB1 category and got it in May 2014 at that point of time i was working with ABC Company.

Now I have resigned from ABC Company and working with other employer.

I have applied for my wife and son I-824, USCIS has approved case and now it is with NVC. I have paid fees for DS-260 and now i have to fill DS-260 form.

What information should i mention in petitioner section in ds-260 form for my wife :

Petitioner is my : Other (options available are employer/prospective employer/self/other)

Petitioner Organization Name : should i mention "not applicable" as i am petitioner for my spouse???

Address of petitioner : Should i mention my US address here???

                Kindly help.

                Regards,

                • Change of Employment Status

                  Hello

I am a petitioner for my parents. I have paid the AOS and IV fees, collected the civil and personal documents, and now ready to submit the DS260.

When I had submitted the I130 form, my father was employed. He is currently serving his notice with the same employer and will be Retired from Tuesday, 9/1/2015. Today is Friday 8/28/2015 and I want to submit DS260 and mail the documents over this weekend. Is it alright for me to state the same employer as the Current employer for him in DS260 since technically he is still employed.

Also what actions would I need to take after submission, when my dad is retired? Will I need to update his information and How?

                  Thanks

                    • Mother's surname at birth and given name help

                      Hey There,

I'm having the same question that you had. I will really appreciate if you can let me know about what you wrote in Mother's surname at birth and given name fields.

I checked the link you provided ,it doesnt specify for mother 's name.
but when i am filing up my ds 260 online form , it shows :
1st question is :surname at birth:
                      2nd question is given names:

surname at birth must be the maiden surname .Nothing specific for given name .
my mother's passport states my dad's name as middle name and not my grandfather's name.
so if i write surname at birth as maiden surname ,what should i write in her given name ?
i can not write surname at birth as maiden surname and in given name my dad's name (as per the passport) all togather !!
should i write Surname at birth as maiden surname and in given name full name of my mother as per passport (surname after marriage ,my mom's name and my dad's name)
or should i write surname at birth as maiden surname and in given name only mother's name (no names of either my dad's name or my grandfather's name )
                      kindly help me out.
                      thanking you in anticipation,
                      --brp

                          • After DS 260 is submitted

                            Hi,
After reading all this (very helpful I should say) I can see that I'm lucky my case didn't take that long after the welcome letter from NVC.. I just have a question.. But first.. A little background of my case..
-I filled out and sent form I 130 for my mother to USCIS (case was sent to NVC)
-paid AOS fee $120 and sent form I 864EZ
                            -completed form ds 261(agent)
                            -paid IV fee $325
                            -completed IV application DS 260.

Now..here comes my question.. The civil documents.. I've read all the documents that have to be mailed to NVC.. Birth certificate, police clearance, etc. I'm confused on this point.. Because all those documents were sent to USCIS already along with form I -130, except for the police clearance... Do I have to resend all those documents again? Or just wait for NVC to respond? I had this same process when I was gonna immigrate to the USA..and I took all those documents to my interview, this was in San Salvador, El Salvador..I know it varies by country.. What should I do? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

                            Thank you!

                              • priority date

                                hi rayb,
i read from your previous post:

                                06-06-2014, 04:42 AM
There are three submittals to the NVC that must be completed before the NVC sends the interview appointment package. Before these three items can be submitted to the NVC, you must pay the $88 sponsorship fee and $230 visa fee online to the NVC:

                                1. The DS-260 is an online visa application form which is completed, digitally signed, and submitted online. This form is not available to complete online until after the $230 visa fee has been paid.

                                2. The Sponsorship package is submitted after the $88 sponsorship processing fee has been paid. The Sponsorship package is mailed to the NVC (excepting for several applicant countries for which scans are sent to the NVC). The sponsorship package will require the barcoded cover page, I-864 form, copy of most recent federal income tax return, W2 and/or 1099 copies, and employment verification.

                                3. The civil documents package is submitted after the $230 visa fee is paid. Contents will include the barcoded cover page, two passport-style photos, original police clearances, certified birth, marriage and divorce/annulment/death certificates (of spouse), copy of ID page of passport.

After all the above have been received and revised by the NVC, an interview appointment package is sent when AN INTERVIEW DATE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE PRIORITY DATE OF THE APPLICANT.

                                --Ray B

My question is, should i be doing these, the payments even my priority date is not up? my priority date is September 2014, and the current one they are processing is March 2014.

                                Thank you.
