Hey Guys,

I am new here and not sure where to post so adding to Ds-260. My wife is in india and her native language is Gujarati and DS-260 asks for name in Native language. Is it okay to select Not Available as I don't know how to type in Gujarati. Additional info, all of her documents are only available in English only. Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I had to do the same, I just Google native language keyboard and type out what I needed. Then copy and paste

DS 260 Child addition

Hi ,
I have received a letter from NVC to submit my details for interview.
My daughter was recently born and I am not married.
Should i put her in the form and will that affect my F1 status?
I intend to marry my fiancee after she finishes her studies.
Also my mother got my name a little messed up is there a way i can update that and not affect the approval status?
She used my old name whereas my passport has my new name. My passport has an note mentioning that i used to use the old name earlier

I wanted to follow up with you as I have not heard back from NVC after I submitted my financial and civil documents to them on 10.31. I have a return receipt that they received the package, but it has been already almost 2 months and I didn't get any response yet. I have read that they typically send you a receipt that they have received the documents and need certain time to review these. But I have not heard anything yet. I have also sent them an email to find out the status of the application, but didn't get any response either. Do you know what delay might be? They do mentioned it takes them about 2-4 weeks to review and let me know if anything is missing. I am checking at NVC website and under civil and AOS sections is says N/A.

Please let me know what I should do in this case.

The NVC DOES NOT routinely acknowledge receipt of the sponsorship and civil documents. Have you paid both fees and completed the DS-260 online form?

Hi Ray, yes I have paid and completed all the forms online. Under fees it says PAID and under IV application says COMPLETED and under AOS and Civil documents it says N/A with a link taking me to NVC website.

Then there is nothing you can do to speed things up right now. Your next correspondence from the NVC will be any of the following:
1. Confirmation of all completed steps, or
2. Interview date package, or
3. Request for additional evidence.

You're due for one of the above within the next 60 days,.

ds260 question?

My son was scheduled for an interview on january11,2015 in philippines.but due to him not having a DS260 confirmation letter with
him,he was turned away.when i did log on to CEAC website is was locked.my question is how to get a DS260 for my son?i called NVC and was told
that all my papers are completed!thanks for any help.

I do think you've already known what DS-260 is, and some information on terms, interviews and stuff had been posted here, but it's quite outdated for now. I had no deal with immigration visas by myself, but had some with electronic application center for several times - it made all the process much faster to go from application to interview to documents. Despite the fact this very website always was malfunctioning for the very time I needed to use it... so I did it via other resources. E.g. I used this one to fill and send my passport application Speaking of DS-82 and other things, I edited them via the same tool and sent right away.
