Divorced usc citizen just after gettin permanent gc

    Hey everybody
    came to u.s.a in 6/2008
    got married on 10/2008
    got temporary g.c on 10/2009(went through fraud interview for 2 hours)
    got interview for permanent g.c(based on marriage) on 11/2011
    got divorced on 08/2012
    got married to indian citizen in 11/2012


    now applying for n-400 based on 5 years
    is there gone be big issue about divorce to u.s.c
    are they gone ask me quetions about my previous marrage
    can they regect my application or cancel my green card

    what else they ask at interview

    If you meet the 5-year continuous residency requirement, your prior marriage status is not an issue, UNLESS THEY SUSPECT THAT YOU MARRIED TO OBTAIN YOUR GREEN CARD. If they suspect the latter, you may be interrogated for possible visa fraud. That doesn't mean your Naturalization will be denied, but during the Naturalizaton review, they look for anything in your history that hints at "cheating" to circumvent immigration requirements.

      BAsed on the timeline of things, it will raise suspicion and they will ask you a lot of questions. Red flags to me are that you 1) were married within months of entering the country, and 2) divorced within months of obtaining your GC. Highly suspect, and be ready to prove that your first marriage was not fraudulent
