Need advice what to do or not do. My greencard is almost 30 days from now and I am still waiting for the interview appt. 
I did receive the first letter from USCIS saying they had received my N-400 application back in June. Then, I received the appt for the fingerprinting and I did that on July 2nd.
I have some friends who applied too 2 weeks before me, and all their steps (first/second letters and fingerpinting) have been 2 weeks-ish before mine. They got the letter for the interview a week and a half and that's scheduled for 10/30 or so. So, if this pattern continues and if I get the interview appt letter this coming week, that means it'd be scheduled for after my greencard expires.
Is that okay? To have an expired greencard and continue with the US naturalization process?
Please provide your input and some advice as for how to confirm with USCIS if this is okay.
