Hi everyone. I have a problem. I took the conditional green card in 2013. My husband wants to divorce me now. I am pregnant. Can I take the permanent green card last year if I give birth to my child in USA ? I give birth to my child before my conditional green card expires. Help me please....I need help... thank you everyone.... ...

      Fiori,

I understand your question and concern.

When you are within 3 months of expiration of your Conditional Green Card, you will need to apply for your 10-year card with form I-751.

      1. If your husband divorces you, you will need to indicate on the form I-751 that you are requesting a waiver from the joint filing requirement because of the divorce.
      2. If your husband has not divorced you, try to get him to accompany you to the I-751 interview.
      3. Do not be the one to initiate a divorce, unless you are abused and have some proof of such abuse (proof of marriage counselling, police and/or hospital reports, shelter documentation).

Don't leave the U.S. until you have your 10-year Green Card.
