Hello everyone,
I would like to know if anyone experience the same situation as me. I think my interview went and provided all the documents requested by Immigration officer.
1. I listed all the trips in last 5 years but for someone immigration officer posted yellow sticky note beside it and never asked me anything about it. At that point I was just assuming may be she wants to check something because all the dates that I wrote was straight from the passport.
2. I got one citation from police in May 2014. While parking car I touched car parked beside me at the grocery store. I was not aware of this but someone took the picture through cell phone and sent it to police. I explained what happened in the court as I was completely unaware of this incident so police officer canceled citation and no action was taken. I brought court certified letter and even letter from the judge that there is no case against me and everything is clear. I gave all these paper work and the immigration officer just looked at it and kept it aside. She asked me "Charges are dismissed and I said yes". This is the only thing.
3. Last thing is she asked me last 5 years of tax transcripts, which I gave it to her and she said okay. I am not sure why but at that point she asked me about 2008 if I was living in New Jersey and I said yes with my sister. She asked me if I was outside somewhere and I said yes I was in UK. This is outside of 5 year period.
Last time when I applied for citizenship my N-400 was rejected because I was outside of US for more than 6 months but this time 2008 should not come in the picture so this time she asked me again about 2008 so that is really strange.
At the end of my interview she said she can't make decision. I asked what she thinks about my application and if everything looks okay. She said " from the surface everything looks fine". She didn't say about any extra documents. She just said that they will let me know about the decision. My interview was on Dec 16 but I have not heard anything. I m okay to wait but just wondering if anyone can give input from their experience. It will be helpful.
Thank you.
Mistry.
