    Hi everyone,
So I will be eligible to file the form n400 in March.. Problem is I might be taking a job (sports tournament that won't last more than 4months) in a United States territory, so I will be returning to my residence right when the tournament is over. My question is that since I have already satisfied all the rules mostly the 3 month residence rule, can I take my application with if I was to live to next month and mailed in from there to the district that have jurisdiction over my area or can I just leave it with my wife to mail it for me? Or is it possible to wait until March, mail it in and leave and just come back for biometrics and interview?
    Looking forward to your help..

So long as you remain in the U.S. or territories, you can submit your N-400 any way you like. You are still bound by maintaining your residence in the area of your procedurall processing and meeting the Biometrics and interview requirements.

Thank you for responding ray b..
So you mean I can go to puerto for example and send in the application to my residence which will be Dallas or Arkansas probably..and not have to worry about address change or anything and just come for biometrics etc.. Since my move will be defined and temporary?

If your principal residence continues to be in the location which you will use as your processing address, and you can receive mail there, working parttime in PR should not affect your N-400 eligibility. This is my opinion, but you must be prepared to explain your temporary work status and provide proof of continued maintenance of your location in your home city.

Oh ok, yeah I will be able to provide that so that shouldn't be an issue..
And thank you so much for your help..

Ps: is 3-5 months temporary? And so I won't have to change my address?
