Hello All,
Need very helpful suggestions :-
1. I got my GC thru' employment on Feb 1, 2012
2. In June 2015, I am planning to move to India and sort out few family matters and might settle there depending on the outcome of my efforts there.
3. In that case, i am thinking of various possibilities of how to keep my GC valid till we apply for US Citizenship.
4. I thought of an options as follows :-
a). I can move in June 2015(by then, it will be 3 years and 4 months on GC) and keep visiting every 3 months or so and my wife along with kids will arrive
India sometime in March 2016. Until then my wife will be working in USA.
5. For all of the above reasons, we don't want to sell our house (or) erase bank accounts in USA in order to always maintain our relationship with USA. If i do the above, i can file for N400 (citizenship) sometime in August 1, 2016 (6 months before 5 years).
question:
1. Is this way fine or should i spend more time here in order to maintain continuous residency here.
2. Please let me know your valuable inputs for me to make a good/right decision.
