  • N-400 waiver

    Hi,
I am currently filing N-400 application. I am unemployed and my total household income is below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines, however, i have some savings with me. So am I eligible for N-400 waiver, because of the federal poverty guideline eligibilty?

    Any help is appreciated.

There is no income test for the N-400 procedure (Naturalization). On the other hand, if you are asking about a fee ($680) waiver, USCIS is very stingy about such requests. My advice is to pay the $680 if obtaining Naturalization is important enough for you.

If you have proof, that's all you need. Read the instructions careful and apply accordingly. I have been there done that and know how tough it can be. Except, I had no savings, and I don't remember if you have to disclose but with household under poverty guidelines it's no fun in these hard times. I wish you well.
